An Introduction to Essential Parent eCare The health teams across Greater Manchester want to be there for you at every stage of your parenting journey. That is why they’ve partnered with the Essential Parent team to provide you with all the information you need for your child aged 0-25 and women’s health. Your locality health and early years teams will send you bundles of relevant advice on your pregnancy, baby and children. You will receive these via email and text (if you have added your mobile number to your account) to complement each appointment you have with your Midwife or Health Visitor. You can access this information now you have registered an account in the My Content tab. Then you can visit the website at any time to browse the library. The library is made up of evidence based content about Pregnancy, Baby, Toddler, Child, Teenager, Young Person and Adult. There are also translated leaflets in the Language section of the library. eCare is made by the Essential Parent team – formerly from the BBC Science Unit– so the videos are beautiful to look at, and the articles are designed to be easy to read. When you register with your locality you will also be able to see all the local content and resources that they have added to the library for you to browse and receive from the health teams.
