Antenatal care

Knowing how to look after yourself throughout your pregnancy is very empowering. The more you know about what’s normal and what’s not – the more you can relax and enjoy this special time. You can learn what to expect from the standard scans and tests – and the others you may be offered if you have a high-risk pregnancy. These scans can help you and your team see how your pregnancy is developing, and whether there are any concerns that might need addressing. If you’re feeling ‘bluesy’ you can and should seek help – it’s a common issue and your team will know what to do to help you. The content also advises on practical issues including working, driving, flying, stress management, and things like clothes, antenatal classes and including your partner and family. The content has been advised by UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative.
